Made in Korea and assembled in Arkansas, a new name competes for business.
The hot U.S. market for small and midsized tractors has a new name to renember: Montana Tractors.
Built in South Korea by LG Cable with final assembly in Springdale, Ark., the new tractors feature 4-cylinder Mitsubishi or 3-cylinder Daedong diesel engines. Both engines are water cooled and fuel injected.
Montana Tractors come in 10 models. Seven are four-wheel-drive, openplatform compacts ranging from 27 to 45 hp, and three larger VIP models offer a choice of two- or four-wheel drive and range from 43 to 57 hp. The larger models offer cabs as an option.
The original dealer network for Montana Tractors consists of 90 dealers in 26 states. Next year the company plans to expand the network to 40 states.
