Massey Ferguson logo
This major Canadian-based agricultural manufacturer was founded in 1847 by Daniel Massey, and was well known for making some of the first known mechanical threshers (made with American parts).

In 1879, Daniel's son Hart renamed the company to Massey Manufacturing Company, and moved the business from Newcastle to Toronto, where it experienced huge business growth. In 1958, the company name changed once again to Massey Ferguson.

The company's famous tractor lines included the earlier MF-100 series and the 300 series in the late 1980s. Today, the company only exists as a brand name that is owned by AGCO of Duluth, Georgia.
