Mitsubishi Agricultural Machinery, officially formed from a merger of two Japanese machinery companies in 1980 -- Satoh Agriculture Machinery and Mitsubishi Machine Corporation.

Satoh's first device, the Satoh Paddy Thresher, was developed in 1914. Mitsubishi Machine Corporation developed and produced a reciprocating mower for tractors in 1927, and eventually, tractors themselves in 1946.

Mitsubishi opened its presence in the US in 1978, followed by a parts depot the year later. The company began supplying tractors to the International Harvester brand in 1981.

The company continues to manufacture tractors, combines and other field equipment. It is currently distributing under the Mahindra brand.
